HI India LO Programme is seeking applications from qualified candidates for the following national positions:

Project Manager – 1 position

About the Position:

Under the supervision of the Country Area Manager the Project Manager will be responsible for the management of the project “Collective Inclusive Action by CSOs” in the state of Odisha with financial and technical support from a multilateral agency. The project is being implemented with the specific objectives of improving organizational capacity on inclusive governance for identified CSOs and identifying good practices at different levels etc.

Terms & Conditions: Fixed Term (Renewable contract)

Location: Odisha

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop project implementation strategies, operation plans and ensure quality assurance to meet the projects’ objectives and deliverables within the project time frame
  • Provide strategic leadership to ensure strong collaboration with consortium partners for effective planning and implementation of project activities
  • Undertake expenditure and manage the project activity-specific budget lines according to the delegation he/she received based on the program signature delegation table
  • Ensure appropriate data management systems and methodologies are available in line with global standard
  • Coordinate for capacity building of consortium partners and local implementing partner
  • Oversee the timely submission of all deliverables to management, donor, including regular reports (monthly, quarterly and annually), financial reports, and other reports and key documentation as required.
  • Build the capacity of the project team on the project components and organizational management
  • Liaise with project related line government departments/ ministries to explore various possibilities for developing / bringing in policy level changes for making the project inclusive
  • Ensure the proper implementation and follow-up of institutional policies (specifically PME, PSEAH, and Age-Gender Disability policies) and the other HI internal standards
  • Take complete accountability and remain responsible for decisions related to managing costs and expenditure for project activities
  • Maintain effective team cooperation via monthly coordination meeting, regular meetings with the project team so that there is efficient internal communications of information between team members, supervisor, consortium partner and the implementing partner.
  • Contribute to HI’s external influence by taking part in networks, when required
  • Communicate about the project to partners, authorities, and stakeholders when relevant

Qualification and Skills Required:

  • At least Bachelor’s degree in a field related to governance and development (e.g. economics, public policy, social studies, or Development studies) from or any other relevant field. Master’s degree will be preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Humanitarian/Development project management;
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively with Local NGOs, CSOs, government, donors, and private sector agencies;
  • Demonstrated leadership, managerial, administrative, and supervisory skills;
  • A strong background in project planning and organizational development;
  • Outstanding networking, advocacy and partnership-building skills;
  • Well versed in MS Office (must in Excel and PowerPoint) and ICT & web-based management systems
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Proficiency in written and oral English and Hindi. Knowledge of Odia and/ or Santali would be an advantage.

MEAL Officer – 1 position

Terms & Conditions: Fixed Term (Renewable contract)

**Location:**Odisha

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop key M&E tools (project beneficiaries’ database, indicators monitoring tools, training tracking tools etc.)
  • Coordinate for M&E training activities; including HI standard workshops in consultation with MEAL Manager and PM
  • Gather and document evidences, good practices and case studies, ensuring consent and data protection measures
  • Documentation of after-action review on key learnings with project during the project implementation and lead the learning paper documentation at the end of the project in close consultation with MEAL Manager
  • Assist to organize internal and external monitoring and evaluation visits and missions
  • Support the project in maintaining necessary coordination within the HI departments and ongoing projects during the project cycle management.
  • Develop and monitor one consolidated project level indicator tracking table (ITT) and partners indicators tracking table (PITT) based on project Logframe and Theory of Change
  • Ensure accurate database management and develop analytical reports in close consultation with HI MEAL Manager and Project Manager (PM)
  • Manage and analyse partners’ reports; beneficiary database, indicator vs. result based achievements and provide feedback to partners to finalize the reports
  • Develop capacity of partners’ staff on monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning in close consultation with MEAL Manager
  • Establish complaint feedback mechanism system accessible to the project target groups, monitor its operations, responses and analysis CFM database, update MEAL Manager and Project Manager on monthly basis
  • Documentation the key project documents such as IEC materials, training manuals, tools and pedagogical prototypes etc.
  • Support the partner in documenting success stories, best practices, beneficiary profiles etc. in line with HI’s knowledge management practices by coordinating with the project team.
  • Use findings, recommendations and follow up actions from surveys, evaluations and studies to improve the project interventions

Qualification and Skills Required:

  • At least Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, Development Studies, Data Management or any other relevant field
  • At least 3 Years of proven experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning of projects
  • Strong Knowledge of MEAL practices/approaches, data management and analysis
  • Relevant professional experience in the area of disability or related field would be added advantage
  • Knowledge on data management tools (Ms Excel) and other relevant software like GIS, Power Bi
  • Creative and strong team player with strategic thinking skills
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines
  • Proficiency in written and oral English and Hindi. Knowledge of Odia and/ or Santali would be an advantage.

Supply Chain Officer – 1 Position

Terms & Conditions: Fixed Term (Renewable contract)

Location: New Delhi

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage the coordination and implementation of Supply Chain activities to ensure timely, cost effective service and safe delivery of goods to the end users, in accordance with HI’s Logistics standard policy.
  • Ensure to carry out annual supply plan for support services and projects
  • Purchase of goods and intellectual services;
  • Manage storage, transportation and warehouse
  • Keep supervisor informed of the work progress and any risks or issues;
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
  • Physical archiving of each department’s documents as per the archiving procedure/guideline
  • Ensure all repairs and maintenance of expatriate houses and HI office including electrical, plumbing, email/internet and other technical problems.
  • Responsible for the booking/issuance of flight, bus, and train tickets.
  • Register in the equipment management tools for the follow-up of each asset/equipment.
  • Organize yearly physical verification of the assets/equipment and archive

Qualification and Skills Required:

  • At least Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Business Studies or related field with minimum 3 years of working experience, preferable in INGO, in Supply Chain Management
  • Knowledge of good procurement practices
  • Good communication and interpersonal skill
  • Proven skills of effective and efficient Task management
  • Ability to supervise and perform under minimum supervision
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite Applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Proficiency in written and oral English and Hindi. Knowledge of Odia and/ or Santali would be an advantage.
