Multi-trade Apprentice

Joining us as a Multi-trade Apprentice, we’ll set you on the path towards becoming a property maintenance expert who does the job the right way; not just completing maintenance work to a high standard but putting the customer at the heart of everything you do.

You’ll benefit from a structured three-year development programme of classroom and on-the-job based learning, designed to support you to develop and practice one main trade, before broadening your skills across a range of complementary trades.

The Programme

• Year 1: With a starting salary of £12,000 per year, you’ll start a Level 2 Carpentry qualification whilst you shadow, support and receive mentoring from an experienced Multi-trade Operative. We’ll even support you to obtain you driving license if you don’t have one already!
• Year 2: You’ll complete your single trade qualification and carry out more hands-on work relating to this trade, whilst still working alongside and being mentored by a Multi-trade Operative. We’ll also increase your salary to circa £19,000 per year to recognise your growing abilities.
• Year 3: You’ll complete multi-trade qualifications (e.g. plastering, tiling, glazing, groundworks) whilst independently carrying out maintenance works. You’ll still be mentored by a Multi-trade Operative and again, we’ll increase your salary to £25,000 per year.

And then? You’ll be a fully qualified Multi-trade Operative, earning £32,000 per year + bonus. You’ll be capable of diagnosing and completing a broad range of maintenance work, with an appreciation of the importance of providing brilliant ‘right-first-time’ customer experience.

Our ideal candidate? You’ll have achieved a grade C or higher in GCSE English and Mathematics. Other than that, you bring the right passion and drive to develop you career as a trade-person, alongside some strong communication skill and common sense, and we’ll teach you the rest! Please be aware that, if successful, you’ll need to travel to our East Midlands Hub (Hinckley, LE10 1QZ) by 8:00am, Monday through Friday, in order to start work.
