About The Site

Normanton is home to our head office and is also the largest of our operational sites where we pack fresh fruit, salad and vegetables. Several of our Group support functions are headquartered in Normanton which include Commercial, IT, Finance, People Team and our Planning Teams.

About The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Multi-skilled Engineer to play a key role within the Engineering division at our Normanton Head Office.

You will attend breakdowns promptly whilst ensuring reliable and cost effective repairs to an excellent standard and carry out data driven preventative maintenance to maintain the plant & equipment in optimum condition.

As a member of the Engineering team, you will perform high quality root cause analysis for technical and process problems whilst supporting and coaching the operational teams in resolving technical issues on the machines.

You will support, suggest and implement continuous improvement (Safety, Technology, Process and Packing) in the Packhouse and make recommendations to maximise the “up-time” of each machine through enhanced cleaning or maintenance schedules.

You will work in a clean, safe environment at all times. Monitoring work area to ensure the workspace is safe and colleagues are following safe working practices.

Please note this role is working a 4 on 4 off shift system – 7am to 7pm / 7pm – 7am

About You

With a wealth of mechanical ability and experience, working in a similar role you should have an electrical bias and will be autonomous with FMCG / Food Production Experience.

To enable us to deliver customer expectations ensuring machines perform to their optimum level with the least amount of downtime, you will also have extensive fault-finding ability and control of modern packing equipment.

Experience working with and installing single /three phase electrical circuits is advantageous for the role.

As a team player, you will have effective communication skills and have the confidence and ability to challenge and question decisions effectively and appropriately to support Engineering decisions within the business.

IOSH Certification & Qualified to 18th edition wiring regulations are both desirable for this position.
