The Position
Our West Virginia-based bank client is seeking to fill a Hybrid Remote Mortgage Loan Processor role. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting with the timely processing of mortgage loans. The candidate will be working with the loan officers to support the consumer and commercial lending function.
This position offers a generous salary of up to $55K and full benefits package. (This is a hybrid remote position).
Mortgage Loan Processor Responsibilities Include
- Reviewing loan applications to ensure completeness, creation of loan documents, and completing transactions between loan establishment, borrowers, and sellers upon approval of the loan.
- Examining received applications to be compliant with current banking regulations and the bank’s policy and procedures.
- Analyzing and submitting files to underwriting and closing based on bank guidelines with a focus on efficiency and quality.
- Organizing and finalizing an applicant file (new/renewing) before uploading it into the Core system.
- Providing administrative assistance to the mortgage team, including updating loan data for entry into the financial institution’s computers and assembling documentation for residential portfolio loans.
- Receiving mortgage applications from the loan officer and reviewing all imputed information in Encompass to verify the accuracy of the data to properly send initial and final disclosures to the applicant.
- Reviewing files submitted to verify that all the required documentation needed has been supplied to submit the file to obtain approval and submit to the Underwriting Department.
- Ordering and reviewing all loan file documentation, including appraisals, title commitment, employment verification, deposits, etc.
- Verifying the accuracy of loan documentation including, but not limited to, pay stubs, bank statements, tax returns.
- Ensuring all loan documentation is complete, accurate, verified, and complies with the company policies as well as state and federal regulations before submission to the Underwriting team.
- Ensuring file is complete for lien perfection.
- Checking documents for proper vesting, legal descriptions, closing dates, and signatures.
- Meeting all loan deadlines and demonstrating a helpful and professional attitude towards our internal and external customers.
- Performing a variety of clerical duties requiring knowledge of departmental procedures.

You Also Bring The Following Skills And Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five or more years of banking and loan experience (preferred).
- Knowledge of federal and state loan requirements.
- Jack Henry / Onboarding experience (preferred).
- Fannie / Freddie / VA / FHA experience preferred.
- Strong relationship-building skills.
- Analytical and auditing skills as well as a firm grasp of math.
- Knowledge about the regulations governing mortgage lending.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and determine priorities.
- Ability to manage a pipeline.
