We are seeking driven individuals looking to join a growing company! We are looking for someone who has a specific background in mortgage loan processing and lending with enhanced skills, attention to detail, and strong work ethic to help clients apply for Covid Mortgage Relief government programs.

Primary Position Objective

The primary objective of this position is to assist with the loan processing activities we conduct on behalf of our clients. The Loan Processor will be responsible for reviewing loan application packages for various housing programs and preparing a recommendation to the client.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

• Review submitted application packages for completeness prior to commencement of analysis;
• Examine/review credit underwriting documentation, including applications, mortgages and notes, deeds, tax returns, bank statements, credit reports, and other financial information for accuracy and compliance with client underwriting guidelines;
• Apply client guidelines and underwriting criteria during the application review process;
• Communicate effectively with other staff on issues with applicant/client submissions or interpretation of applicable underwriting criteria as it relates to submissions;
• Prepare required review documentation/recommendation for submission to the client;
• If applicable, prepare loan documents, ensuring accuracy;
• Adhere to timelines established based on client needs and department workflow.

Independent Judgment

• Make decisions on the sufficiency and accuracy of information provided in a underwriting submission;
• Identify potential issues discovered during the review process that may impact the recommendation or processing of the application; and
• Effectively communicate identified issues with senior staff

Minimum Qualifications

• Some prior underwriting/processing experience
• One year experience in the mortgage industry preferred;
• High School diploma
• Good attention to detail;
• Strong computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
