Mortgage Loan Originator

A growing Brooklyn, New York based mortgage bank is looking to hire Mortgage Loan Originators to work in the company’s Cary, North Carolina location. The company is licensed as a mortgage bank in North Carolina, California, Florida and New Jersey. Additionally, the company is licensed as a mortgage broker in New York.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience and have an established book of business with real estate agents. Additionally, the candidate will be comfortable with contacting internet sourced clients by phone.

Preference will be given to originators who have an active book of business in North Carolina

The candidate will be working directly with the owner / founder of the company and will have opportunities to work in other job functions as the company grows.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Prospect new mortgage lending opportunities.
• Review/Analyze credit and financial data.
• Ability to discuss and evaluate borrower profiles and their goals.
• Suggest appropriate mortgage products.
• Candidate should have a thorough knowledge of conventional lending programs.
• Have a thorough knowledge of current regulations surrounding consumer lending.
• Develops and maintains successful relationships with business referral sources.
• Provides complete loan applications to mortgage processor.
• Has the ability to process their own loans.
• Knowledge of Ellie Mae Encompass is beneficial.
