We are looking for Ukranian Monitoring & Evaluation Technical Assistant to join our team in Dnipro – Ukraine , The Candidate will support the NRC Ukraine Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) unit in implementing M&E Plans that includes data collection, data management, data validation exercises and data analysis. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 6 months to 1 year relevant experience.

What you will do:
• Adherence to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
• Support in standardizing M&E across projects
• Support in data management and development of clear information flow between program and M&E staff, and stakeholders
• Liaise with peer organizations and other stakeholders, and M&E staff in partner agencies to facilitate lessons learned and coordination
• Support the M&E unit in new initiatives, should these arise during the employment period
• Contribute to identification of, and designing of protection response to identified risks and needs in the context of the program implementation

Specific responsibilities
• Support and contribute to the development and maintenance of data management system through documentation and implementation of standardizes information flow of M+E activities and reporting
• Support in developing data collection methodology and tools, and in actual data collection
• Assist program staff and M&E unit with data collection, data validation, data analysis and interpretation
• Conduct field trips to collect data, monitor and evaluate activities
• Ensure that monitoring data are reported in a timely manner to relevant program and managerial staff
• Reply to general information requests with accurate information
• Support and contribute to the development and maintenance of accountability system, including complaints and feedback mechanism, as needed
• Conduct technical/training sessions for relevant NRC program staff in relation to M&E activities and tools, as needed
• Support and conduct learning sessions with relevant NRC program staff in relation to M&E findings
• Assist with the implementation of other M&E activities
• Ensure proper filing of documents
• Organize and schedule meetings and appointments, maintain contact lists
• Perform any other tasks as requested by M&E Coordinator

What you will bring:
• Experience working in a humanitarian/recovery context
• Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts desirable
• Proficient knowledge of Ukrainian and Russian languages
• Good organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Good written and spoken English

Education
• Bachelors’ degree in statistics, economics, sociology, finance, or another similar field with a quantitative focus
• Alternatively, Bachelor’s degree in humanities/languages, with a minimum 6 months’ work experience in data collection and/or analysis

• Ability to work under pressure, independently and with limited supervision
• Ability to meet deadlines in multiple tasking environments
• Good coordination and communication skills
• Skills in solving problems
• Displaying self-motivation and initiative
• Responsible, punctual, attentive to details, prompt, well-mannered, decent and willing to work

Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:
• Minimum of 6 months experience in data collection and/or data analysis, or administrative assistance
• Knowledge of different data collection methodologies
• Knowledge of mobile data collection tools is an advantage
• Good knowledge of the software programs (MS Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection, data analysis and validation
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Knowledge of data analysis and visualization solutions such as Power BI is an advantage
• Knowledge of GIS software (e.g. QGIS) is an advantage
• Experience with handling insecure environment
