Monitoring, recording and reporting implementation, progress and achievements of the project against the planned and committed outcomes, outputs and activities of the project at the partners and consortium level. Providing expertise, guidance and support to Project Managers and partner level M&E teams in collecting and providing quality data, stories, pictures and videos on timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Continuous monitoring of project implementation and progress.
  • Reporting of project progress in a professional and timely manner.
  • Management of project data, evidence and information.
  • Contribute to effective management and implementation of the project.
  • Play an active role in building a strong ARC team.

Specific duties

  • Takeover M&E data and reports of the current and previous projects of ARC.
  • Develop full understanding of the CBED-II project and its existing M&E and reporting systems.
  • Build very good rapport with the Project Managers and M&E persons of ARC partners.
  • Conduct regular meetings of the M&E Technical Working Group
  • Guide field teams in collecting required and timely data, writing impact stories and taking high quality project pictures and videos
  • Guide women colleagues working from home in interacting and collecting data from female beneficiaries.
  • Develop new templates for data collection as needed.
  • Collect physical and progress reports from the partners on a regular basis. Prepare high quality and comprehensive progress narrative and pictorial reports.
  • Identify and collect success stories that truly reflect and depict impact of the project.
  • Conduct midline survey of the project
  • Coordinate end line survey and final evaluation of the project.

Any other duties as and when assigned by the line manager, MD and/or Directorate.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Education & Professional Qualification

Master’s degree from a well-recognized University in project management, international development, management science, social science or another relevant area or equivalent professional experience.

Work Experience

At least 5 years’ demonstrable experience in M&E and Experience of working in Afghanistan or similar post-conflict context, and of which at least two year should be in managerial position with national or international organisations.
