Here’s where you come in:

As the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Specialist, USAID/Haiti Resilient Environment South Activity, you are responsible for establishing a robust monitoring, evaluation, and learning system to ensure effective implementation of the activity and early identification of problems and results. The MEL Specialist needs to have demonstrated experience in building or strengthening monitoring systems, quantitative and qualitative analysis, survey and sample design, and effectively promoting evidence-based program management. The MEL Specialist is responsible for establishing a robust monitoring, evaluation, and learning system to ensure effective implementation of the activity and early identification of problems and results. The MEL Specialist needs to have demonstrated experience in building or strengthening monitoring systems, quantitative and qualitative analysis, survey and sample design, and effectively promoting evidence-based program management.

Requirements include:

  • Master’s degree or higher in public health, program evaluation, statistics, social sciences, or other relevant discipline.
  • Five years working in monitoring, evaluation, and research in the public health field, with progressively increasing level of responsibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis using appropriate analytical methods; design and implement quantitative and qualitative rapid appraisals, etc.;
  • Knowledge in management and dissemination of research findings.
  • Strong written and oral English and French skills
  • Familiarity with USAID’s Collaborating, Learning and Adaption (CLA) approach.
  • Experience with Workday Payroll highly preferred
