Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Data Officer – Main responsibility will be to support all Implementing partners on all program in all M&E related program activities with specific focus on data quality and use including collection, data entry, summarizing, analysis, dissemination, storing and timely reporting of all data generated from the system.
  • Provide weekly analysis of surge indicators to, sites and project teams to guide targeted community and facility level prevention interventions and monitor performance.
  • Weekly data reviews with sub partner data teams to improve data collection and utilization of data for project improvements.
  • Establish report tracking systems to improve completeness and timeliness of reporting.
  • Support Partners and the Project Management team with monitoring and recording procedures using the online Elemental software system.
  • Provide additional on-site training and technical support to the Delivery Partners and the Project Management team.
  • Monitor data processes and work with the overall project team to maintain data integrity and reconcile data discrepancies.
  • Review the quality of the data and perform quality checks to ensure appropriate data collection meets the needs of the evaluation process.
  • Contribute to external evaluation process using analytical skills to produce high level reports and address any queries from external evaluators.
  • Collaborate with software provider to support the electronic information management of the project.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Applicant must be of Cameroonian origin and live in Cameroon.
  • The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Teamwork and virtual support, coaching, mentoring and capacity building/development in M&E.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English and able to speak Pidgin
  • Experience of reporting on key performance indicators.
  • Ability to work to short deadlines
  • Resilient and able to respond positively to the pressures and demands of the role.
