Position Objectives:
As an M&E Assistant in the Iraq Country Office working as a part of the MERL department, you will be responsible for supporting the collection, analysis, and reporting of both quantitative and qualitative data. This will include collecting data from program participants, identifying new communities for program expansion, and participating in ongoing monitoring activities. You will also be responsible for managing a team of monitoring data collectors for complementary program MERL activities. Additionally, you will be responsible for writing monitoring and accountability reports according to established M&E guidelines and standards. Your work will be integral to ensuring that our programs are effective and accountable to our stakeholders.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Specific Tasks:
- Participate in community assessment and of new participants and collect and record information.
- Assisting in the enrolment process for new program participants by participating in outreach and sensitization activities, conducting initial screening, and completing intake forms to gather necessary participant information.
- Participate in Focus Group Discussions with participants as and when needed, submit a report with findings, as well as any pertinent observations about the focus group process.
- Collaborating project teams and with M&E Officer (if needed) to capture relevant data from participants throughout the program cycle and providing technical support on M&E matters.
- Running and managing the FCRM hotline, including documenting and tracking feedback received and ensuring timely follow-up actions with the support of the M&E Officer and MERL Coordinator.
- Conducting field visits to collect data and assess project implementation for monitoring purposes.
- Assisting the MERL Coordinator in coding, translating, and testing questionnaires on tablets.
- Preparing reports on project progress and outcomes.
- Supporting various M&E activities such as baseline, endline and graduate follow-up for participant.
- Ensuring that data is properly documented and stored in accordance with established protocols.
- Work with project participants in collecting additional data and information as needed, such as case studies and success stories.
- Managing data collectors for different M&E activities, ensuring that data collection tasks are carried out effectively and efficiently.
- Provide support to the M&E team by facilitating training sessions for WfWI staff and their partners on on M&E tools, data collection techniques and procedures Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date filing system.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS/Competencies:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as social sciences, social work, or international development. Additional certifications or training in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) will be considered a plus.
- Experience: 1 years’ experience in M&E or data-related role preferably in the NGO sector.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish rapport with community members and program participants.
- Excellent organizational and administrative abilities, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Proven team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent written and verbal English, Kurdish and Arabic skills.
- Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, database skills).
- Ability and willingness to travel around the country as required.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality as it relates to M&E department.
