Position Summary
The MX B2B Finance team is responsible for a multitude of tasks pertaining to running the business. These include owning the Target Plan (TP) financial reporting in coordination with the sales ops team to plan and forecast gross revenue, sales deduction, and net revenue. Our team also handles the sales deduction budget including forecasting, variance analysis, program effectiveness/ROI, program tracking and customer claim validation and payments. We also manage the MX B2B marketing budget. Finally, our team owns the MP and associated financial planning working across multiple product P&Ls and routes to market to derive and finalize management plan for the organization.
Role and Responsibilities
Intern will have the opportunity to work on a multitude of projects spanning many different facets of corporate finance and strategy. Specifically, for a MBA intern, the candidate will provide high impact analysis on product portfolio and competitive environment as it relates to pricing and promotion strategy specifically targeted to the IT/Distribution channel. This will require in depth analysis of pricing strategy, a comparison to carrier channel, and provide recommendations on how the IT channel can better compete against much larger competitors in the B2B space. Additional analysis on product profitability and promotion strategy will be required to provide a complete picture that the sales leadership and product management teams can utilize to increase sales and increase overall B2B profitability.
Technical Skills Required for Internship:
*Keen finance acumen (investment analysis, understanding of various forms of ROI, basic accounting knowledge)
*Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills
*Intermediate to Advanced PPT Skills
Qualifications:
*Previous work experience in CPG, technology, mobile space preferred, but not necessary
Academic Major Preferred:
MBA with focus on finance/strategy
