GOAL

General Description of the Programme:

GOAL has been working in Syria since 2013, responding to the acute needs of conflict-affected communities. GOAL is working in Idleb Governate, both through direct implementation and through partners, delivering food, non-food programming to highly vulnerable populations, and provision of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) through support to Water units, as well as emergency support to recently displaced households.

GOAL has been working in North Aleppo Governate since 2019, through direct implementation and through partners, delivering food, non-food programming to highly vulnerable populations, as well as emergency support for recently displaced household.

Job purpose:

Ensure the efficient and proper documentation of receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods including food, non-food items, water, hygiene, sanitation, and other items within GOAL stores in line with GOAL policies and procedures and manage all this information on the database. Ensure productivity targets and workplace health and safety and security requirements are adhered to.

Duties, objectives and competencies

· Receive and archive all IRFs (Internal request form), GIDs (Goods in Docket), and DDs (Delivery Docket) from the cargo assistants/officers on daily basis.

· Archiving all documents related with the warehouses (GIDs, IRFs, DDs, Stock cards, Bin Cards, monthly, quarterly, and bi-annual stock counts) both in hardcopy and in online databases.

· Scan all IRFs, GIDs, DDs and stock cards and ensure updated version are saved on SharePoint per each round. Also ensure that the online SMS balances accurately reflect information on hardcopy stock cards and ensure that the SMS details are correct and up to date,

· Coordination with programme managers about the estimated shipments for their programme distributions,

· Support the Warehouse Supervisor in liaising with the Syria Supply Manger on goods scheduled to be delivered from Syria,

· Creating database for warehouses all details needed in the warehouses activities and matching them with the total balances come from programme (ARFs).

· Following up the returned kits/bags on the database.

  • Matching the electronic balances of the items with the GIDs/DDs on daily basis.
  • Prepare the SMS report on daily basis.
  • Preparing the reconciliation for the contracts/batches to facilitate timely payment to suppliers for goods received,
  • Reconcile with PMs each round/ batch for distribution,
  • Generate warehouse reports and statistics from the data.

Requirements (essential)

· Bachelor’s degree in information engineering or relevant certificate.

· At least 3 years of data management experience.

· Good interpersonal and organisational skills and capacity to build relationships with suppliers based on honesty and integrity.

· Excellent skills in Excel.

· Knowledge of Power BI, and programming languages.

· Good mannered, respectful, reliable, and trustworthy character.

· Ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload in a rapidly changing work environment.

· Willingness to learn and to take on extra duties as required.

· A flexible approach to work and willingness to work additional hours or on weekends as required.

· Ability to write, speak basic English, at least vocabulary related to warehouse
