We are seeking an Equity Analyst for to cover Consumer products for one of our Equity Trading teams.
Responsibilities
Contribute across the full investment process by taking ownership of assigned coverage (15-20 stocks in the first year)
Maintain oversight by regularly updating relevant databases, financial models and trackers together with latest company commentary / sector news flow
Attend conferences and management meetings
Develop high conviction trade ideas supported by catalyst within a fundamental framework
Requirements
2+ years previous experience in either M&A/Equity Research, ideally covering Consumer Markets
Solid financial modelling skills: operating, merger, LBO, DCF, etc
Appreciation and application of rigorous valuation frameworks: asset based, cash yields, multiples, etc
Strong communication skills: can convey complex ideas concisely. Has a record of building rapport with senior management/ IR teams
Self-sufficient: confidence to explore new concepts with minimal guidance and input
Proficiency in a programming language preferred
