About Our Client Our client is a well-established trading company in Geneva that offers a dynamic work environment.

Job Description

Trade Support:

Assist traders in executing and managing trades, ensuring accurate entry and tracking in the CTRM system. Monitor and confirm trade positions, profit and loss (P&L), and exposure on a daily basis, ensuring all data is reflected accurately in the system. Support the development of automatic physical and derivatives positions and develop reports. Reconcile any discrepancies between trade blotters and the CTRM system.

CTRM System Expertise:

Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for the trading desk’s CTRM system. Ensure accurate and efficient use of the system across the trading desk, including trade entry, reporting, and risk management functions. Collaborate with IT, risk management, and other departments to identify opportunities for system enhancements and workflow automation. Contribute to the implementation of system upgrades, new features, and user training sessions.

Risk Management:

Monitor and report on risk exposures, ensuring compliance with risk management policies within the CTRM framework. Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly risk and performance reports using the CTRM system. Support the development and maintenance of hedging strategies within the system.

Data Management & Reporting:

Maintain and update trade data in the CTRM system, ensuring it is accurate and accessible for analysis. Generate and distribute regular reports on market conditions, trade performance, and risk metrics using the system. Assist in the development and automation of reporting tools and dashboards within the CTRM system.

Communication & Coordination:

Act as a liaison between traders, back office, finance, risk management, IT, and external counterparties, particularly in matters related to the CTRM system. Facilitate smooth communication and work flow between different departments to ensure efficient trade execution and system usage.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in a middle office or trader assistant role within commodity trading, preferably in sugar or other agricultural commodities, with hands-on experience in CTRM systems. Strong analytical and numerical skills. Expertise in CTRM systems (e.g., OpenLink, Allegro, or similar platforms). Advanced Excel skills; experience with data management tools (e.g., SQL, Python) is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Experience in system management, development, or improvement projects.
