Proposal Summary:

The upcoming USAID India Health Learning Activity will aim to provide organizational and programmatic monitoring and learning to generate effective learning for improving the health of vulnerable populations. Emphasis on evidence-based decision making, accountability, and tracking investments during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Position Description:

SI is seeking a local mid-level Indian Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist to provide technical support and assistance related to M&E and its function for the upcoming USAID India Health Learning Activity.

*Please Note: This is a local position. Only candidates with Indian citizenship will be considered. *

Responsibilities:

  • Provide M&E technical support, including designing research tools and instruments, carrying out research and data collection, analyzing data, and supporting M&E training
  • Provide technical skills in evaluation research and design, data collection, analysis and synthesis, report writing, and planning for use and dissemination of evaluation findings.
  • Review and analyze program activities and recommend methodologies for evaluations and the delivery of evaluation products.
  • Support systems for performance monitoring activities.
  • Support writing of reports, briefs, infographics, presentations, and other documents showcasing activity results
  • Support the analysis of collected data to produce the deliverables requested by the client.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree and a minimum of five years of experience in foreign assistance, performance management, monitoring and evaluation, and/or capacity building
  • Previous experience working on a USG program and working knowledge of USG regulations and requirements.
  • Experience monitoring and evaluating learning health systems, public health, or PEPFAR programming
  • Knowledge of USAID Evaluation Policy and evaluation reporting requirements.
  • Experience working on a team to conduct fieldwork.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to work independently to meet deadlines and adhere to high-quality standards.
  • Strong professional written and verbal proficiency in the English language.
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout India and Southeast Asia.
