Michael Page Logistics have exclusively partnered with an exciting new client who are a Leading UK business, supporting their search for a Head of Operations, operating one of of their key sites in the UK.

They are an easily recognisable, innovative, and rapidly growing company who are dominating their market space. Job Description

The Head of Operations role will require the individual to:
Report to the General Manager.
Direct reports of 8 x Department Managers, along with an indirect headcount of 400+ heads consisting of; Operations Managers, Shift Managers, Team Managers, Stock & Inventory Managers, Team Leaders and Operatives.
Be responsible for the site in it’s entirety including customer management, employee engagement, P&L / Costs and Continuous Improvement strategies.
Overall responsibility for process design and daily delivery for inbound, pick and outbound operations through the team.
Have full responsibility of an operating budget of £20m+.
Be responsible for maintaining existing customer relationships, and developing new commercial opportunities.
Be responsible for effective inventory controls, ensuring the customer portfolios are maintained within key SLA guidelines.
Accountable for medium term succession planning across your site.
Commutable Oxfordshire.

This role would suit a candidate that has worked in a; Operations Manager, Site Manager, General Manager position previously.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for the Head of Operations role will have the following skills and experiences:
A Logistics, Distribution and Supply Chain background – Essential
Have a strong background in both Warehousing and Transport – Essential
Be Degree educated (or similar) – Advantageous
Managed Multiple customers previously – Advantageous
Worked in a FMCG environment previously – Essential
A minimum of 5+ years Logistics experience at an Operations Manager or General Manager level previously – Essential.
Have managed in excess of 300+ employees previously – Essential
IOSH and NEBOSH qualifications – Advantageous
Have experience of Six Sigma / Prince2 methodologies – Advantageous
Have been personally responsible for the creation and management of budgets of up to £20m+ per year-Essential
Have good written and verbal communication skills ranging from Executive levels to shop floor Operatives.
Be results driven and commercially minded.
Be commutable to Oxfordshire.

Salary – £60,000 – £70,000
