Summary

Responsible for development, maintenance and support of the global Enterprise Manufacturing Execution Systems (EMES) solution that is utilized globally across the digital manufacturing network to produce medicine.

The EMES Infrastructure Manager’s scope is managing the EMES hardware and software components, system architecture and network design, cybersecurity, and any customizations that support digital manufacturing systems and operations.

Specific Responsibilities

  • System Administration of the central EMES development and test systems
    • Domain, security, and user management
    • System access
    • Support
    • Periodic system and user access review
  • Lead system upgrade and application patching activities
  • Partner with EMES platform lead to design and manage the EMES platform and infrastructure
  • Partner with sites to support site EMES development, test, and production systems
  • Partner with hosting teams to deliver infrastructure and services per business priority
  • Partner with and support other EMES delivery leads in managing the global EMES solution and roadmap
  • System management, maintenance and key performance indicator reporting
  • Reporting tools management (Infobatch, Bartender) and Equipment integration support
  • Tier 3 escalation support of the EMES solution to minimize disruption to manufacturing and/or impact to product
  • Support a knowledge management strategy including generating training content and mentoring
  • Promote compliance with data integrity and computer system validation requirements and regulations
  • Promote compliance by understanding change and the impact to the validated state of the application and underlying infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science or related fields with at least 2 years’ Life Sciences industry experience and at least 2 years’ experience in Emerson Syncade MES
  • At least 2 years’ direct experience designing, building, deploying and supporting automation and execution systems (Syncade, PI Data historian, etc.) in regulated manufacturing environments
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing computer systems and support teams
  • Strong domain expertise in the application of IT to manufacturing, including a broad understanding of processes and how they are supported by IT tools and systems.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory landscape and demonstrated experience with software validation.
  • Proven track record of successful IT/automation project delivery
  • Ability to work across global sites and cultures.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% domestically and internationally
