ROLE PURPOSE:
The role of Mentor is a volunteer role who will work with job seekers and business starters to coach, mentor and advise throughout the job and business journey.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABLITY
- Support the mentees after establishing the business to ensure proper management of the project.
- Develop and submit a monthly progress report.
- Conduct field visits to the projects’ area and provide consultancy to the mentees.
- Report any gaps or issues with recommendations and action plans.
- Attend mentorship meetings to share headway, concerns, and details regarding upcoming mentorship visits.
- Alert mentees to potential adjustment-related obstacles and issue them with suitable resources to help negate these.
- Any other related duties assigned to ensure program success.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
- University Degree or high school with practical business experience.
- Coaching or Training certificate will be an asset.
- Ability to be consistent and reliable.
EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
- Have experience in private sector and business startup.
- Ability to coach, support and advise when needed.
- Proactive about communications and correspondence.
- Strong listening skills.
- Hold self and others to high standards and expectations.
- Excellent Arabic language proficiency, including writing skills and Kurdish is a requirement for Erbil based Mentor.
- Strong creative and analytical skills.
- Well organized and focused.
- Willingness to travel within the project’s intervention areas.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
