ABOUT THE ROLE

As our Member Relations Manager – DACH, you will be responsible for building and managing relationships with a particular focus on (prospective) Common Goal members across German-speaking markets. Working closely with Common Goal’s Founders and Member Experience Lead in Berlin, you’ll develop and represent Common Goal in interactions with professional football players, managers, agents, club representatives and brand partners. With the aim of attracting new members and growing our collaboration with existing members, you will directly engage with individuals and organisations pledging 1% of their earnings in support of high-impact social and environmental change initiatives.

As the lead responsible for Common Goal’s member development in the DACH region, you will play an active and integral role in making a more socially contributing game in one of Europe’s most dynamic professionally football markets a tangible and long-lasting reality.

YOUR TASKS

· Represent Common Goal in interactions with various football industry stakeholders and communicate Common Goal’s mission, vision and values with empathy and sincerity.

· Build new and grow existing member relationships in the DACH region, as well as with global partners of Common Goal.

· Develop and present bespoke propositions that align with the interests, passion points and philanthropic aims of prospective members.

· Devise specific strategies and a long-term plan to grow and retain the existing Common Goal member community in the DACH-region.

· Enable individual members of Common Goal to experience the impact of their membership and use their influence to make a meaningful contribution to tackling social issues they care about.

· Contribute to the continuous improvement of Common Goal’s global member engagement strategy and day-to-day relationship management processes.

YOUR PROFILE

· You have a degree in sports management, business administration, marketing or a related field.

· You have a minimum of 3-5 years of work experience and a professional track-record of strong relationship building and leadership in athlete, partnerships and/or sponsorship management

· You have an existing network of connections to professional players, managers, agents and/or executives, and an excellent understanding of the football culture and market dynamics in the DACH region.

· You are a natural networker and first-rate communicator skilled at empathetic relationship building and presenting collaboration opportunities.

· You possess strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask.

· You are a native German speaker with fluent verbal and written English language skills.

· You are a great listener and team player who enjoys taking responsibility and working in a diverse, culturally-rich and inclusive workplace.

· You take initiative and responsibility of your work, and solve problems proactively.

· You possess strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask.

· You love to get things done, thrive on challenging the status-quo and have a genuine passion for our cause.
