Consumer Lending Member Consultant: Phone Loan
Job Description:Reports to Supervisor and is responsible for interviewing members over their phone, assessing their financial needs and being able to guide them in the direction that best improves the quality of their financial life. Acts as the face of the Credit union while working closely with several departments to exceed member expectations. Job Responsibilities & Requirements:

Acts as the face of the Credit union while working closely with several departments to exceed member expectations. Job Responsibilities & Requirements:
- • Interviews and counsels’ members to determine their credit union needs and either transacts the business or refers them to the proper staff member.
- • Writes member consumer loan applications. Must maintain a specified level of performance.
- • Has a thorough knowledge of GECU loan policies, current interest rates, and other financial products. Must be capable of discussing various loan alternatives with the member.
- • Has a thorough knowledge of GECU deposit products and is able to guide the member toward the product best suited for their needs.
- • Ensures that each application is filled out completely and that all necessary information is gathered.
- •Provides information regarding credit union services and cross-sells those services. Must maintain a specified level of cross-selling performance.
- • Must be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Suite as well as have ability to learn various software’s as required.
- • Must understand and comply with all required federal and state regulations associated with this position.
- • Must be able to speak and understand fluent English.
- • Performs other duties as assigned.
