The candidate will be handling all aspects of insurance defense matters up to and through trial, including discovery, court appearances, depositions/examinations, expert issues, and client management. Will be drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs, and required client reports. Legal research; rendering opinions on liability, damages, and case value. Communicating with clients and opposing parties to prepare for trial or resolve/settle claims. Managing a diversified caseload from beginning to end. Working closely with other attorneys at depositions and various court appearances. Should preferably have a healthcare or science-related degree. Must be in good standing with the South Carolina Bar. The legal practice was established in 1973. More than thirty practiced attorneys comprise the legal practice. Law offices are based in Columbia and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. There are nine practice groups. Alternative dispute resolution, construction law, medical malpractice and litigation are a number of their practice groups. Disciplines are varied. The firm is AV rated.Additional Skills: The candidate should have a JD degree from an accredited law school.
