Our client provides media operations services and supply chain solutions to dynamic and high-profile businesses across the Media & Entertainment industry.
Role
The media operator views a range of media formats, reviewing and checking technical compliance, recording accurate detailed metadata and performing fixes/re-edits as required.
Adobe Premiere skills are key.
Responsibilities
Ingesting, reviewing and quality checking content for client channels
Performing “full eyeball” reviews and “three-point spot checks”
Interpreting automated QC reports from Vid-checker and Baton
Remastering content and repairing QC defects
Using a MAM to record accurate QC and timecode data
Training your colleagues and freelancers on new functions and systems
Working as part of a team covering 24/7 at the company’s media operations centre
Skills Required
An understanding and experience of working in media operations and media workflows
Demonstrable knowledge of video and audio formats, codecs and standards
Expertise with Adobe Premiere or similar
Ability to interpret waveform monitors and audio metering for signal analysis
Knowledge of common file formats and common video and audio defects
Knowledge of UK DPP QC standards and the ITU-R 5-point scale
Ability to remaster content and repair QC defects
Experience of handling physical video tape is a bonus
Enthusiasm and a good sense of humour
A positive, proactive and flexible approach
