Media Officer (Creative Lab UX/CX Researcher and Strategist)

The IMF is seeking to recruit an experienced UX/CX Researcher and Strategist to join its world-class team of design experts in Creative Solutions (CS) Division within the Corporate Services and Facilities Department (CSF).

Under the general supervision of the Section Chief (Creative Strategy and Operations), the Media Officer will contribute to key research and strategy initiatives for products development, digital transformation, and service design essential to the IMF Creative Lab; a hub providing global solutions based on human-centered design and behavioral insights to support IMF membership in policy making and capacity building. The selected candidate will function as core member of the IMF Creative Lab and will support the Section Chief; collaborate effectively with key stakeholders such as creative directors, designers, developers, behavioral scientists, economists, product managers, external design agencies and other international organizations. The incumbent will ensure deep understanding of users and will shape and implement design strategy – from conceptualization to delivery – to advance the IMF innovation efforts and brand.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Educational development, typically acquired by the completion of a Master’s degree or equivalent in Design, Social Science, Behavioral Science, Business Strategy, Human Computer Interaction, or related field; or a bachelor’s degree supplemented by a minimum of six years of relevant professional work experience, is required.
  • Relevant work experience in UX/CX, Innovation strategy, digital products, or related field either in international development, consulting, government, non-profit or private sector. Experience in Fintech is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and behavioral analysis, particularly in product prototyping environment backed by deep understanding of UI design. Knowledge of Macro-Economics is a plus.
  • Proven ability to collect and analyze user behavior through moderated and unmoderated research, surveys, benchmark studies, web analytics and customer feedback.
  • Deep knowledge of human-centered design and techniques backed by practical experience.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and implementing projects and working on innovative initiatives is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with information architecture testing and content strategy. Experience in a multilingual environment is a plus.
  • Technical proficiency preferred: Figma, Invision, Mural, Optimal Workshop, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite. knowledge of Workfront is a plus. Knowledge of coding languages is a plus.

  • A supreme storyteller with strong presentation skills, excellent oral and written communications skills, with a passion for creativity and innovation
  • Committed to promote design thinking and behavioral insights
