Purpose of the position:

The Media Officer will work with the media team to build and develop relationships with the media and press across all channels. The Media Officer will focus on a personal approach, in order to identify areas of potential growth across all channels and to deliver the maximum amount of coverage and awareness.

Primary Responsibilities of this position:

  1. Helping with building the visual identity of the organisation and supervising its application in all media details.
  2. Write, coordinate and issue media releases and statements, briefing materials and features, with publish & update online content regularly as per relevantly applicable policies & procedures towards KP humanitarian goals & mission.
  3. Permanent and consistent communication with projects’ managers and field team to get daily updates of work and cover events by making appropriate designs in the suitable time.
  4. Coordinating with the media office in Turkey to receive all media data and materials from Syria and document, classify, archive, and distribute them on the work team, if necessary.
  5. Contributing in new media and press ideas and determining appropriate initiatives and chances.
  6. Write, coordinate and issue media releases and statements, briefing materials and features.
  7. Where appropriate, promote and market KP events.
  8. Contribute new ideas for the press and media and identify suitable initiatives and opportunities to pursue.
  9. Ensure that all visibility items and materials follow KP’s graphic standards.
  10. Verifying that all terms and materials of organisation’s logos are following typical designs of Kids Paradise according to its visual identity.
  11. Translate press and media materials as necessary.
