About Mercy Without Limits:

MWL is a humanitarian, advocacy, non-profit organization dedicated to working with communities in order to overcome poverty. main priorities are aimed at empowering women, youth, people with disabilities, and children by enabling them to participate in economic, social, and civil spheres. We aim to protect women, youth, people with disabilities, and children’s rights by the constitution and legislation systems.

Job Purpose

To support the Media Sr. Officer in amplifying the mission, work, and impact of “Mercy without Limits – MWL” through various media platforms, ensuring accurate, effective, and timely communication.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Content Creation & Management

  • 1.1 Assist in producing multimedia content such as photos, videos, and graphics.
  • 1.2 Archive and organize media assets for easy retrieval.
  • 1.3 Coordinate with different departments to gather relevant information for content creation.

2. Media Outreach

  • 2.1 Help in building and maintaining a database of media contacts.
  • 2.2 Support the Sr. Officer in pitching stories to journalists and handling media inquiries.
  • 2.3 Monitor media mentions and compile regular media coverage reports.

3. Event Coverage

  • 3.1 Attend MWL events and document them through photos and videos.
  • 3.2 Coordinate with the event organizers to ensure all important aspects are covered.
  • 3.3 Support the Sr. Officer in live-tweeting events and handling live streams when necessary.

4. Social Media Support

  • 4.1 Assist in scheduling posts and updating MWL’s social media platforms.
  • 4.2 Monitor and respond to comments and messages under the guidance of the Sr. Officer.
  • 4.3 Help in generating social media performance reports.

5. Research & Monitoring

  • 5.1 Stay updated with the latest trends in media and nonprofit storytelling.
  • 5.2 Assist in researching potential media opportunities and collaborations.
  • 5.3 Monitor the news landscape for relevant developments affecting MWL’s work.

6. Administrative Support

  • 6.1 Schedule and coordinate interviews for MWL spokespersons.
  • 6.2 Maintain and update media kits, press releases, and other essential communication materials.
  • 6.3 Assist in budget tracking and procurement processes related to media activities.

7. Training & Development

  • 7.1 Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance media skills.
  • 7.2 Support the Sr. Officer in organizing media training for MWL staff.
  • 7.3 Continuously provide feedback and innovative ideas to optimize MWL’s media presence.

Note: the above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department’s organizational chart.

Qualification (Education/Work Experience/Languages)

Essential:

  • Associate’s degree in Media, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • One year at least of the same work experience
  • Basic understanding of media operations and news cycles.
  • Familiarity with digital media platforms and tools.
  • Good Command of the Arabic Language (4 skills: Listening – Speaking – Reading – Writing).

Desirable:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or any related field.
  • Two years at least of work experience.
  • Good Command of the English Language (4 skills: Listening – Speaking – Reading – Writing).
  • Turkish Nationals
