Are you looking for a customer focused, Retail Media analytics role in a fast paced and ever-changing environment?

The Media Analytics Manager is responsible for delivering key data-led analytical projects to support the Retail Media business of Asda. This is a role for someone who is motivated to champion the customers in decision making, an expert in Retail Media and who is commercially minded and has a desire to influence our media strategy through the use of data and analytics.

The customer is at the heart of everything we do – you’ll produce actionable insights that helps drive the business forward and you’ll be involved in leading a variety of analysis projects. This will include understanding the customer journey from beginning to end, measuring the performance and incrementality of key activity, working with our strategy and marketing teams on proposition design and execution, and presenting key findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

You will work closely with our Media stakeholders to interpret important business questions and, through data analysis, deliver timely and accurate solution-based outcomes which can be applied to support commercial leadership.

  • Proactive analysis to define strategic business decision making and proposition design, including identification of risks and opportunities
  • In depth omnichannel analysis to better understand performances and customer behaviour variances across our Retail Media portfolio
  • Focus on the future, providing insight and analysis to support the expansion and growth of the media business through a broader partner network
  • Take analysis briefs and prioritise these into an analytics roadmap across strategic priorities with tight deadlines
  • Support Media strategy development and future planning with detailed analysis, helping to better understand the impact of Media campaigns on customer behaviour
  • Deliver stories and narratives from analysis and reports that can drive decision making to colleagues from all levels of the business
  • Work cross functionally to produce actionable insights to drive data-led decision making around Media investment and customer experience
  • Support development, maintenance, and evolution of our approach to customer segmentations and audiences

Define our reporting, analysis and customer analysis requirements & gaps, working with relevant teams to support development of foundational reporting and other insight tools

  • Naturally curious, passionate about using data, tech, and analysis to do the right thing for our customers
  • Obsessed with customer loyalty and drivers of retention
  • Technically adept, having a proven track record in SQL
  • Experience in retail / clothing / GM advantageous either agency or client side
  • Experience working on a Retail Media desirable
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to present clear recommendations to multiple levels of management
  • Expert commercial understanding of the key drivers of a retail business
  • Have a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good knowledge of applying statistical techniques in retail analysis
  • Have a keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Plenty of experience in customer analytics
  • A degree in Analytics, Computing, Mathematics, Statistics, Marketing Strategy, or a relevant analytical discipline would be advantageous
