Mechanical Technician ��� Khormala Power Plant, Erbil, Iraq.

Your Profile:
��� Diploma in mechanical engineering or proven record of min. 3 years after apprenticeship,
��� Experience with maintenance of mechanical equipment.
��� Good communication skills

Your… Responsibilities
Supports the Mechanical engineer, acts in his absence:
��� Executes mechanical activities on-site as directed including:
��� Responsible for monitoring plant condition in the field, taking readings, conducting/resetting isolation measures, responding to emergency situations, carrying out
��� minor repair works (valve/pump packing tightening etc.)
��� All planned maintenance tasks (Plan & Corrective) relevant to rotating and ancillary equipment and emergency tasks.
��� Permitting compliance with safety requirements and liaison and coordination with other Departments as required.
��� Ensures equipment, materials and tools are on-hand for work execution. Reports resources and time utilized, job scope expansion, rework or deferred maintenance as required; also keeping all tasks & activities logged and updated.
��� Repairs to other static equipment as required ��� valves, pipework, pressure vessels and tanks and such-like.
��� Supervises On-site Contractor work execution inclusive of crane rigging and lifting operations as designated.
��� Ensuring work compliances to standards, tolerances and fits & working in accordance with sound engineering practices on all jobs under his purview, includes reading P&ID���s, Technical Literature and Equipment Manuals.
��� Equipment Problems Trouble-shooting and Basic Root Cause Analysis and Development of Solutions.
