Mechanical Commissioning TechnicianKBR is looking for Mechanical Commissioning Technician (28/28 rotation) for Majnoon project to be based in Basra IraqJob Summary:The Mechanical Commissioning Technician is a Project Position responsible for executing commissioning activities on Instrument devices and systems in Majnoon oil field project. The Technician works under Discipline Leads supervision to meet project deadlines and all project safety targets.Rotation: 28/28Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Carry out pre-commissioning and commissioning activities as directed by Discipline Leads.Read and understand Mechanical activities, general arrangement drawings, Datasheets, etc.Conduct Mechanical / Piping commissioning checks.Apply and attend PTW meetings and work in harsh environmentComplete documentation (e.g. Inspection Test Records or System Commissioning Procedures) required for commissioning activities.Follow and maintain company standards for HSSE and Quality which are the… company core valueAdvise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.Follow any other duties as assigned by supervisor or Discipline Leads.Experience and Education:Minimum 1-2 years experience in oil and gas commissioning.Mechanical Engineering BSC (preferred with 5 years experience) or technical institute background (with 10 years experience).Knowledge of oil and gas facilities and associated control and safety systems.Proven ability to effectively and efficiently work as part of a team under direction from field supervision.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and work well with others.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Preferably Iraqi nationals
