MEAL SITE DRIVER – Korean Billingual

• Purpose of Position

Pickup, deliver, and return clients to and from senior centers in Tacoma

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Operate KWA vehicles in a safe manner;
• Treats passengers with courtesy and respect
• Assists passengers in and out of vehicles;
• Pickup, deliver, and return passengers to KWA facilities and other locations as needed;
• Deliver Home delivered meal to seniors’ homes;
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicles inside and outside;
• Inspects vehicles for roadworthiness and maintenance, reports deficiencies to supervisor;
• Ensures proper safety equipment is in vehicle;
• Assist at senior mealsite as needed;
• Attends training and staff meetings as directed;
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Position Requirements, Competencies and Qualifications
• Satisfactorily pass criminal history & reference checks;
• Clean driving record for past 3 years
• Current driver’s license and ability to be insured on Agency policy

3.1 Education

• High school diploma, GED or foreign equivalent preferred.

3.2 Experience In Related Field

• 6 months or more of operating vans and/or shuttles preferred

3.3 Unique Expertise/Certification/Registrations

• Current Food handler’s certification or ability to obtain of hire
• Working Conditions
• Ability to operate motor vehicles such as cars, vans, and shuttles;
• Ability to drive to different locations
• Work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking, standing, bending, reaching, twisting, and traveling
• Physical Requirements
• Ability to apply principles of logical thinking, to define problems
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagrammatic or schedule form
• Ability to read, write, speak, understand, or communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of the position
• Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less, up to 20 feet or more
