Ghiras Al-Nahda

General Description of the Organization:

Ghiras Al-Nahda is a Nonprofit Non-governmental humanitarian organization working to empower people through fulfilling their basic needs and seeking to improve community stability and resilience.

Duties & Objectives:

  1. Ensure the implementation of the MEAL plan through follow-up with field teams and the preparation of reports on MEAL activities.
  2. Preparing M&E tools in cooperation with the MEAL coordinator.
  3. Follow-up on the registration and verification of beneficiaries and the cancellation and replacement.
  4. Ensure using tools compatible with the working conditions of the project and update and develop them.
  5. Conducting needs assessments and writing reports.
  6. Monitor and clean data.
  7. Ensure the minimum standards of protection, and that all activities are carried out in a manner that does not contravene the laws and norms in the community, in addition to verifying the existence of a complaints mechanism in the location of implementation.
  8. Receiving complaints, registering them, and processing them according to the agreed-upon procedure.
  9. Preparing a report on the complaint’s mechanism periodically.
  10. Refer requests for assistance to the Special Cases officer.
  11. Archive all documents according to the agreed archiving procedure.
  12. Represent GAN in meetings, workshops, and groups on M&E, accountability, and data collection and analysis.
  13. Sharing monthly reports with the humanitarian sectors. (4-5Ws)

Required Qualifications:

  1. At least 3 years of experience in MEAL.
  2. Strong knowledge and experience of Core Humanitarian Standards.
  3. Excellent report writing skills.
  4. Experience in leading and managing teams of MEAL officers.
  5. Proven experience in designing and implementing MEAL plans, including the use of data analysis software and tools.
  6. Experience in designing and implementing assessments and evaluations, including qualitative and quantitative methods.
  7. Proficiency in Excel (advanced skill)/ Kobo
  8. Good knowledge of the Syrian context and the culture of the community
  9. Good writing and verbal communication skills in English.
  10. Priority for Turkish citizenship holders.
