MEAL Officer

Elrha is a global charity that finds solutions to complex humanitarian problems through research and innovation. We are looking to recruit a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Officer to contribute to the achievement of the organisational MEAL goals by supporting the various pieces of work managed by the unit, such as externally commissioned evaluations management as well as other pieces of analysis led in-house.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the development of our MEAL systems, process, and capacities to ensure everyone within the organisation contributes to demonstrate what Elrha has delivered and achieved by providing robust evidence.

Your application will need to demonstrate:

  • Experience in project cycle management with an emphasis on implementing and operating Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning systems from project initiation to close out,
  • An understanding of the principal evaluation methodologies, and data collection and analysis techniques,
  • Excellent attention to detail to identify and correct errors, spot and improve weaknesses and produce a high-standard end result,
  • Proven capacity to work independently and take the initiative, and work as part of a team,
  • An interest in the humanitarian or development sectors, ideally demonstrated through academic qualifications and/or paid or voluntary work.

Experience in humanitarian affairs, global health, innovation and research would also be an advantage.
