The Opportunity

The MEAL Officer is responsible for implementing and strengthening of the MEAL systems for the ongoing Programme in NWS. S/he is responsible for providing support in the development and execution of MEAL plans; development and/or adaption of (ERC) MEAL tools; documentation and dissemination of key learnings from MEAL and research results in support of the project objectives and outcomes; and ensuring that the projects are accountable to beneficiaries and other stakeholders in line with Save the Children and donor policies and practices. The MEAL Officer undertakes this role in close collaboration with program staff and partners. S/he will be responsible to create and update the information management needed databases in the MEAL portfolio, in addition to data cleaning and analysis to feed the reporting requirements and to contribute to high quality programming.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

* BSc/BA/BEng in Social Sciences, Computer Sciences, Statistics or related field.
* At least 2 years of experience in MEAL activities and scope.
* Excellent experience in data collection and analysis, data management and reporting
* Experience working with implementing partners, with remote partnership management desirable
* Extensive experience in knowledge and database management
* Fluent in English, both spoken and written
* Experience of training and capacity building
* Some experience of representation and ability to represent SC effectively in external forums.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills
* Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacy
* The capacity and willingness to be extremely flexible and accommodating in difficult and sometimes insecure working circumstances.
* Commitment to the aims and principles of SC. In particular, a good understanding of the SC mandate and child focus and an ability to ensure this continues to underpin our support

Desirable
* Previous experience working in humanitarian programmes
* Fluency in Arabic both spoken and written is desirable.

We offer a competitive package in the context of the sector at the pay-grade of the position, transportation allowance as per relevant internal policy and 20 days of annual leave per year.

Position holder will be based in Gaziantep, therefore legal right to work in Turkey is necessary at the time of applicaton.
