We are looking for an experienced and flexible person to support our regional program responding to the Ukraine crises. In this position you are responsible for the overall coordination of all MEAL related processes and activities across ADRA Germany´s Programme in Ukraine, Moldova and Romania; support the MEAL departments in developing quality MEAL related deliverables in compliance with donors’ guidelines and ADRA’s internal guidelines. The role and responsibilities in MEAL will be performed in close collaboration with the Program Coordinators and and HQ-based advisors, in particularly with MEAL Coordinator.

About the role: Ensure the monitoring and evaluation duties and support in accountability and learning processes:

  • Lead implementation and ensure that ADRA’s MEAL planning, monitoring and evaluation processes meet the sector standards and comply with external requirements.
  • Maintain consistency in monitoring and evaluation processes across all program activities.
  • Lead implementation of the ethical principles in all MEAL processes.
  • Draft and regularly update MEAL workplan, validate it with stakeholders.
  • Promote and strengthen the understanding of the importance of MEAL within the organization.
  • Provide training on-site/online to local staff in the partner countries
  • Prepare Country program M&E plan for baselines, mid-term, end line surveys, other surveys and research activities, and evaluations to be undertaken in ongoing projects.
  • Provide technical support during project MEAL planning, including guidance on developing the indicators and measuring results, development of MEAL tools and methodologies.

About you: Motivated and self- driven looking for the next chance to strengthen capacities and make a real change

  • University degree or equivalent in development Studies, Statistics, social science or other related fields with minimum of 5 years of relevant work experiences on the sector and minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar position.
  • Experience in data collection tool development, coordination, and supervision of baseline/end line surveys.
  • Experience in data encoding, data analysis and report writing.
  • Experience with transfer of knowledge, organizing trainings or mentoring.
  • Ability to undertake regular field visits in the region.
  • Familiarity with the region and capacity enhancement in emergency setting.
  • Fluent in English; Ukrainian and/or Romanian language skills advantageous.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with people in a multi-cultural, multiethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity.
