About AVSI Jordan:

AVSI Foundation, an NGO created in 1972, carries out cooperation projects for development, with particular emphasis on education. In its work, its attention is focused on the defense and promotion of the dignity of the person, the cornerstone of every project. We work all around the world thanks to a network of 35 founding members and more than 700 partners worldwide.

AVSI Foundation has been operating in Jordan since 2006 and contributed in supporting the most vulnerable local communities, Palestinian, Iraqi and Syrian refugees through providing projects and activities that focus on health and psycho-social assistance, education, vocational training and job placement and income-generating activities.

Contract duration: 7 months (with possibility of extension)

Duty Station: Amman

Main tasks and responsibilities:

· In collaboration with the MEAL Regional Manager and the Program and Project Managers, establish a reliable and consistent set of outcomes and outputs indicators for all program activities and new call for proposals.

· Supervise the development of the monitoring and evaluation plans of the projects in line with the project logical framework and in consultation with the project teams for all the ongoing projects.

· Standardize the outreach form, per area or sector.

· Provide monitoring and evaluation support to partner organizations, through capacity building workshops; strengthen the communication between AVSI and partners/CBOs.

· Support the elaboration of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines and update it where/when necessary, especially for the cash for work and cash distribution

· Coordinate the development of a harmonized system of data collection tools for each sector of activity (e.g.Child Protection tools and Children FGDs)

· Prepare after action reviews of projects

· Ensure timely compilation of internal and external progress and final reports for all ongoing projects (monthly MEAL update every month/two months) and digitalize the reporting.

· Sharing of challenges, good practices, feedbacks and lesson learnt from the field and data collected.

· Supervise and guide the work of AVSI Jordan MEAL staff and improve communication between departments, MEAL and program (regular meetings).

· Coordinate field visits to be performed by M&E officer/assistant/IMO to ensure the quality of data collected by program and to verify the accuracy of reported data.

· Coordinating the setting up of a Feedback and Complaint mechanism for all of AVSI Jordan activities and beneficiaries

Requirements:

· At least 2 years of professional experience within MEAL sector in humanitarian and development organizations

· Excellent oral and written communication skills in Arabic and English.

· Preferably Good knowledge of local context (Jordan and/or MENA region);

· Strong communication skills
