Background: Al Ethar is a non-profit and non-governmental foundation, registered in Iraq with the No. (IZ780098), and has been working in Iraq since 2005. Al Ethar operates in Iraq through eight basic offices, the implemented projects vary to include but are not limited to: education, protection and response to survivors of GBV, projects to support young people and building capabilities to generate outcomes that create a sustainable and enabling environment for youth to achieve their potential

 

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer is responsible for all data collection. She/he is in regular contact with field staff to monitor the collection of data and ensure accuracy and timeliness. Furthermore, she/he will contribute to donor reports in coordination with the Information and Reporting Officer and assist the Project Manager,

The M&E Officer will be responsible for monitoring activity progress according to project indicators and tracking the implementation of quality improvement measures. The M&E Officer will work with the M&E Manager to design and implement program evaluation tools that, in coordination with the monitoring activities, aim to ensure that the project maintains its strategic vision and that its activities result in the achievement of its intended outputs in a timely manner.

Assessments, Evaluation, and Learning

Assist in the design and development of monitoring and evaluation guidelines and tools in a participatory manner.
Document program progress including lessons learned and success stories.
Share learning from the M&E process with the wider team
Support in the development of proposals (particularly objectives, outputs, and indicators) and project targets as needed.
Assist in training GBV organizations operating in the governorates on M&E tools and techniques, as needed.

 


Qualifications & Preferred Skills

 Qualifications & Preferred Skills
 Related degree or have at least 1 years related experience with I/NGOs
 Good in English
 Advanced communication skills, including active listening skills and excellent written communication.
 Proficient skills and experience in working on MS Office
