Lampentasche is a specialized nanny agency in Switzerland. For a well-positioned family, we are looking for a dedicated and discrete maternity nanny/postnatal care specialist with extensive international working experience. The family will have a demanding traveling schedule (in particular Europe, USA & Middle East) and various international obligations.

Aufgaben

Newborn Care:

  • Provide hands-on care to the newborn, including feeding (breastfeeding or bottle-feeding), diapering, bathing, and ensuring the baby’s overall comfort
  • You are the primary caretaker for the baby, including during overnight hours
  • Prepare and serve meals according to the dietary requirements of the baby
  • Monitor the baby’s overall health, including growth and development, tracking milestones and addressing any concerns promptly
  • Establish healthy sleep patterns for the baby and provide guidance on sleep training techniques
  • Manage medical emergencies and unexpected situations
  • Educate and assist parents with infant care, including breastfeeding, formula feeding, and sleep training
  • Plan the baby’s schedule and establish a daily routine

Postpartum Care for the mother:

  • Provide emotional and physical support to the mother during the postpartum period
  • Assist with postpartum recovery, including wound care, pain management, and postnatal exercises
  • Offer guidance on maintaining a balanced lifestyle and ensuring the mother’s well-being

Qualifikation

  • At least 10 years of experience as a Maternity Nanny/Maternity Nurse or Postnatal Care Specialist
  • Relevant certifications in neonatal care, breastfeeding support, and postnatal care
  • Experience with pre-term babies
  • Knowledge of early childhood development, psychology, and behaviour
  • Current knowledge of childcare best practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with the family and healthcare providers
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, handling stress well
  • A compassionate and caring demeanour
  • Discretion and the ability to uphold strict confidentiality
  • Highest flexibility in terms of schedule
  • International working experience and experience with different cultures (incl. local rules of etiquette in the Middle East, local diets, etc.)
  • Experience with UHNWI families (at least 5 recommendations from such families)
  • Clean background check
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, often on short notice
  • Fluent in Egnlish
