About The Role

Are you a highly motivated recent graduate with a master’s degree in biology or a related discipline? Are you curious and passionate about understanding the mode of action of biologics? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to actively contribute to an ongoing drug discovery project!

Preferred start date: March/April

Latest start date: May

Duration: 6 months

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform affinity and kinetics determinations of antibody-antigen interactions using Biacore (surface plasmon resonance, SPR) and solution equilibrium titration techniques (SET)
  • Design and execute experiments to investigate the mode of action of antibodies
  • Contribute to the optimization of antibodies, improving their affinity, developability, and other relevant factors
  • Active collaboration between the Immunology disease area and Biologics Research Center with regular presentation of scientific data at internal meetings
  • Utilize techniques such as SPR (Biacore), flow cytometry, ELISA, functional assays to evaluate antibody binding specificity, affinity, and biological activity

Role Requirements

Essential requirements:

  • Recent master’s graduate with a degree in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences, or a similar field
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken)
  • Experience/Professional requirements:
  • Experience in cell culture and general molecular biology techniques
  • Capability of independently running experiments

Desirable requirements:

  • Prior experience with SPR measurements (e.g., on Biacore instruments)
  • Background in immunology
  • Good knowledge of antibodies
  • Excellent team player
  • Good communication and presentation skills
