This Role…

The Education Marketing Manager at ATD serves as an important role on the marketing team by managing effective campaigns designed to drive course registrations for ATD’s Education line of business. This exciting opportunity is for someone who has a passion for high impact marketing campaigns with an emphasis on speed-to-market, likes writing new content, collaborates well, and can understand data and use it to solve problems.

Make an Impact by…

  • Drive email campaign sends: work with our internal creative team on design, provide all copy writing on emails, schedule and set up each send
  • Create automated email nurture campaigns: includes all of the responsibilities above plus designing the cadence and offer strategy on campaigns to drive Live online and in person training registrations; work with internal partners and systems to automate the campaigns
  • Direct mail: develop new direct response campaigns promoting ATD education courses. Campaigns may include letters/#10 OE, postcards and catalog mailings
  • Audience Selection: Analyze internal email list results and test lists to drive better result by audience in email and DM campaigns; this may include list rentals
  • Testing: Create relevant A/B tests to optimize results
  • Analyze data trends and make recommendations to improve campaign results
  • Work with marketing colleagues to coordinate campaigns with other Education marketing initiatives for consistent messaging and look and feel
  • Working in conjunction with other ATD staff to determine the effectiveness of Education registration campaigns
  • Create print collateral for conferences and trade shows
  • Create Education social media campaigns
  • Act as point of contact for the Education marketing team to ATD’s Customer Care team

What you Bring to this Role…

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field
  • 5+ years of experience working in a marketing role; association experience a plus; experience in Education marketing, a major plus
  • Experience writing original content in the form of emails, direct mail, blog posts, and more.
  • Direct mail experience (from creative to print to lettershop)
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through required
  • Ability to successfully interact with cross-functional teams and external vendors, as well as to operate independently
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Experience using databases and email platforms
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced and cross-functional work environment
  • Ability to handle shifting timelines and demands; adaptably and composure is necessary
  • Some travel required
  • Not afraid to suggest innovative ideas
