Osper

Hi! We’re Osper. Our mission is to teach children about money in a safe, protected environment. Or, to put it another way: we turn pocket money into financial education.

We offer a prepaid debit card for children to spend their pocket money, and an app for parents which allows them to load money, control the card and monitor their child’s spending.

In the last 12 months we’ve also launched two new products alongside Osper (https://osper.com/)

  • Prosper (http://letsprosper.io/) – a platform that allows any bank, brand or startup to launch their own youth card scheme, and
  • Cleva (https://clevacard.com/) – a spending card for carers and vulnerable adults, which allows these users and their carers to spend money safely

We have tens of thousands of happy users on our platforms and we’ve got BIG growth plans for the next 18 months.

We pride ourselves on having an excellent company culture: a healthy mix of great work, exciting pace, supportive atmosphere and a lot of fun.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a marketing superstar to join our friendly team. Ideally you’ll have at least 5 years of experience in a marketing role and you’re looking to take the next step in your career to help us grow and make even more families happy.

We’re looking for someone smart, confident and experienced in multi-channel marketing campaigns. You’ll have a broad remit across the marketing mix and will play a very important role in helping our company grow in interesting, innovative ways.

Osper is an equal opportunity employer and we recognise the importance of diversity. We welcome people of all ages and backgrounds and value people who have taken a non-traditional journey.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Marketing planning and management: Helping to develop, deliver and manage awesome marketing campaigns for Osper, Prosper and Cleva
  • Lead management: Coordinating the incoming leads for our B2B product, Prosper, and communicating the platform to prospective clients
  • Event management: planning and coordinating our participation in trade shows and international events

In addition, you’ll also be working on:

  • Content marketing: ensuring that our websites are updated and SEO friendly, and commissioning text, video and infographic content for all three brands to help us communicate our messages
  • Social media campaigns: planning and executing social campaigns across a variety of platforms
  • Offline marketing: going old-school with a range of non-digital marketing activities like mailers and print ads
  • Preparing our newsletter: gathering content to create our regular customer newsletters
  • Building partnerships: with associated organisations to cross-sell each other’s products and services
  • Monitoring and reporting: working closely with our Head of Marketing to monitor marketing performance and identify areas for improvement

As you can see, it’s a wide-ranging role! We’re not expecting you to be an expert in every one of these disciplines: we’ll give you room to grow and learn. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with the creativity and confidence to communicate effectively, and the organisation to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Skills

Requirements

These are the essential skills we’re looking for:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and in person. You’ll be producing and delivering marketing pitches so we need a confident, clear communicator.
  • Marketing campaigns: you should have a great track record of developing and delivering marketing campaigns across a variety of channels
  • Project management: you need to be super-organised and have proven experience of taking a project from concept through to delivery, on time and within budget

Desirable Skills

Experience in any of the following areas would be fantastic:

  • Social media management: demonstrating that you can develop and deliver campaigns on multiple social channels that engage with the target audience
  • Producing creative material for social media such as photo editing and writing compelling social posts
  • Event management experience
  • Developing partnerships: identifying and negotiating with interesting partners to form mutually-beneficial deals
  • Building email newsletters to send out to our customers

Benefits

Salary

£40-45k per annum depending on experience

Location

To begin with you’ll be working from home, but as the year progresses we’ll transition back to the London office. It’s unlikely that we’ll ever be full-time office based, though: we’re likely to take a blended approach. But we’re also flexible so if you have particular needs or a preferred way of working, let’s discuss this.
