Marketing Intern

*This is a 4-week paid internship, targeted to start in March, fully in-person at our Central London office*

What You’ll Be Doing.

This will be a role that will give you hands-on marketing experience in a fast paced start-up environment with a focus on learning and development. WeShape operates at the forefront of constantly evolving technologies and developments in IT. And, simply put, your job will be to get more eyes looking at our business.

You will be working under our Marketing Lead Alex, who has been in your shoes as a junior marketer and understands the sorts of questions you will have. From day one you will have a genuine say in real marketing decisions, we are a company that values feedback from all levels.

Our Priorities For This Role

• Support the marketing lead in day-to-day marketing activities
• Increase followers and engagement across our newsletter and social media platforms
• Develop your own content creation skills to create engaging videos and graphics
• Manage our technology blog and find new interesting written content

A Typical Week Could Include

• Developing your graphic design and video editing skills to produce content for our events, website, and social media platforms
• Posting tech blogs onto our website and optimizing to suit SEO standards
• Searching across the web for new authors for our tech blog and contacting suitable candidates
• Scheduling and posting content onto our social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit)
• Building our monthly tech newsletter to go out to our network

This Role Is For You If

• You are a beginner marketer who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty with some start up experience
• You’re not receiving the training, investment and tools you need to make the most of your skills
• You want to learn a large scope of marketing and improve your skills across multiple functions
• You have an interest in producing engaging and interesting video and graphic content

Ideally You’ll Have

• Creative skills and a passion for social media and online content
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
• Baseline skills in graphic design, videography, photography that you are keen to develop more

Furthermore, we run London Tech Leaders – (londontechleaders.io) – a leading peer-to-peer event community for senior technology executives. We run quarterly events, an animated podcast series, newsletter, and a website jam-packed full of content.

We want this to become THE hub for technology leaders, and add value to as many people as possible and reach the widest possible audience.
