Extreme’s 3-month, paid Marketing Internship is designed to prepare a select group of outstanding students for a successful career in Marketing.

Extreme Marketing Interns will hold leadership roles in projects for one or more of the below core marketing areas: Field Marketing, Content Strategy, Sports Marketing, Social Media, Campaign Management, Channel Marketing and Programs, Consultant Relations, and Marketing Analytics. Each intern could also elect to gain exposure to other business areas, such as Product Marketing, Sales, or International Markets.

  • Field Marketing – Hands-on planning and execution of regionally-focused campaigns, events, presentations, webinars, and other activities designed to drive demand for Extreme solutions in the market.
  • Content Strategy – Develop a deep understanding of the market, the persona of B2B buyers, and the pain points they seek to resolve, and how to develop meaningful and educational content that drive awareness of Extreme Networks, its vision, and its portfolio of technology solutions.
  • Sports Marketing – Extreme’s affiliation with many of the leading entertainment and sports leagues, including, the NFL, MLB (Major League Baseball), MiLB (Minor League Baseball), NHL, NASCAR, Manchester United, and Liverpool FC. These affiliations are leverage for campaigns, lead generation, customer appreciation, events, and referrals.
  • Social Media – Identify ways to refine, improve, and expand our social media program. This can include curation of content, create new B2B social marketing campaigns, and reporting to track campaign progress.
  • Campaign Management – Planning and execution of B2B marketing campaigns that drive demand at all levels of the customer journey. This includes email, web, and paid media.
  • Channel Marketing and Programs –Development of targeted messaging, incentives, platforms, and enablement programs for our global network of reseller partners.
  • Marketing Analytics and Operations – Using data analytics tools to reveal intelligence and insights from Extreme’s marketing programs.
  • Product Marketing – Understanding the challenges and pain points of the target B2B buyer and working to position Extreme’s portfolio as the ideal solution.
  • Sales – Extreme’s Sales teams rely on Marketing’s efforts to generate demand. It’s important that every well-rounded marketer has some exposure to the inner-workings and motions of the Sales department.
  • International Markets – Extreme offers Marketing Interns the opportunity to virtually participate in meaningful projects in several regions around the world.

Minimum Requirements

  • Candidates must currently be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Marketing, Sales, Management, Business, Communications, Analytics, Management Information Systems, or related fields of study.
  • Minimum Cumulative GPA 3.0/4.0
