Marketing & Communications Intern

Responsibilities

• IQT digital assets and social media engagement
• Development of marketing and communications materials including one-pagers, fact sheets, bios, news releases, etc.
• Assistance with corporate events including planning and logistics, registration, and event management.

Anticipated Projects:

• Prepare and manage communication materials from portfolio companies
• Create media database and editorial calendar
• Prepare copy for marketing collateral
• Create recommendations and content for digital assets and the organization’s social media platforms
• Identify external events and opportunities for IQT staff
• Support IQT events through research and planning, identifying vendors and partners, preparing copy and event materials, event execution.

Qualifications

• Exp erience managing social media accounts
• Background knowledge or experience in events, communications, and marketing
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suites
• Interest in national security, entrepreneurship, and general awareness of technology trends in venture-backed startup companies.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with employees at all levels in the organization.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with peers and management.
