On behalf of DFDS, MARPRO is looking for a Marine HR Manager.

Are you our new Marine HR Manager for our Danish flagged passenger vessels? Do you have a passion for handling various HR matters in a firm and structured way? This, with primary focus on ensuring the quality and follow up on recruitment, retention, and branding and development of our many sea-based hotel and catering positions? This role could be the one for you!

The position is based in our new HQ in Nordhavn, Copenhagen, and you will get a variety of exciting tasks in good cooperation with our good Crews in the fleet and a great team ashore. We are looking for you to bring a wealth of experience, along with fresh ideas, to, primarily, support our hotel- and catering part of the Crews, but also to be the driver on various projects and initiatives aimed at all the Crews on our vessels. This, in cooperation with various stakeholders. You will be in direct report to the Head of Marine HR.

Principle responsibilities

  • Keeping structure of various HR logs
  • Be part of the strategic and practical planning of the recruitment branding of DFDS as workplace for all sea-based positions
  • Keeping the overall structure of the recruitment for the hotel and catering positions on board our four passenger vessels. This includes arranging recruitment days, contact with relevant schools and screening of candidates for manager positions
  • Developing the next in line process
  • Supporting the Head of Marine HR with the collaboration with the Crews on board our vessels

Preferred professional and personal skills

  • A genuine interest in People with excellent communication skills
  • An ability to track relevant processes, statistics and procedures
  • Knowledge and practical experience from the life and work on board vessels, especially passenger vessels
  • A sound knowledge up to date knowledge and experience of recruitment practices
