Detailed Job Description
The Enerflex internship offers students a full-time paid opportunity to work in an environment that fosters real-life experiences, explores career options, and applies your education. This internship will be based in Houston, TX. You will have exposure and the opportunity to broaden your skills through impactful work, mentored relationships, and will gain real world exposure to different projects on the Enerflex team.
Principle Responsibilities & Duties
Under the supervision of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager the successful candidate can expect to:
- Analyze, modify, and present data from MS Excel spreadsheets used for manufacturing performance indicators
- Conduct time studies and lead improvement projects focused on manufacturing processes
- Support Technical Specialist with technical document creation and trade meeting preparation
- Write, format, edit, and update instructions and procedures to be used by manufacturing
- Assist manufacturing engineers in creating and publishing Assembly Build Plans
Other Responsibilities:
- Supports the assembly process for new packages in multiple departments
- Assist Technical Specialist in trade specific unit inspections
- Update and perform maintenance on excel based tools
Qualifications
- 2nd year of an Engineering degree complete (in Industrial/ Mechanical or equivalent)
- Minimum of a 3.2 GPA
- Must be dependable, highly motivated, self-directed, attention to detail, and possess great organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and with team
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- Strong Aptitude to learn new skills
- Proficient with Microsoft office
- Ability to use AutoCAD software
- Ability to complete a long-term internship with Enerflex
