Job Overview

Interested candidates in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science in undergraduate level programs are welcome to apply.

Key Job Responsibilities

Prepare, as directed, designs to satisfy requirements for customer orders or development projects. Assist in the development of information for use at sales presentations. Learn to review current designs or specific components as assigned for cost reduction. Gather, as directed, information needed for creation of Technical Reports and Service Bulletins. Learn to perform engineering evaluations, including calculations and testing with supervision. Participate in setup of engineering tests, witness steps performed and see results documented. Gain awareness of and familiarity with Global and Regional regulations, standards and industry guidelines applying to JOY products. Provide technical assistance to manufacturing with respect to specifications originating from self.

Qualifications/Requirements

Pursuing Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science is required. Participation in implementing Lean Engineering principles, beneficial. Participation in effective Change Management implementation, beneficial. Experience in focused team assignment(s), desired.
