
Enduring Hearts
Enduring Hearts is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to funding innovative research aimed at improving the lives of children living with transplanted hearts. Our mission is to fund research that increases longevity and improves the quality of life for children that receive a new heart. EH is seeking a motivated and proven nonprofit professional to serve as Manager of Events and Engagement, reporting to the National Development Director. The Manager will manage and grow a portfolio of major events, individual giving and foster new corporate partnerships. This position works closely with the National Director of Development and CEO in implementing Donor cultivation. Must have a proven track record of successful non-profit fundraising and event management.
Responsibilities will include:
● Managing all event solicitation and fundraising to include:
o Sponsorship
o Participation
o In-Kind Gifts
● Manage event volunteer recruitment
● Managing all event logistics
o planning, coordination, permitting, and on-site management of both in-person and virtual
o Manage event production timeline, day-of schedule, run of show, facilitation guides, event-specific trackers, and member/staff information.
o Develop best practices and processes for events
o Maintain events budgets
o Book travel arrangements for honorees, speakers, special guests, etc.
o Create training manuals and conduct event training of staff and volunteers, organize, and manage vendors, supervise, and facilitate venue staff and volunteer participation, as necessary.
● Manage and oversee day-of-event production including
o directing event set-up,
o communicating with staff
o vendor management
● Plan and lead post-event debrief with staff, consultants, and vendors
● Managing the Giving Tuesday campaign
● Manage event vendor relationships
● Prospect research
● Fulfilling all potential direct response and marketing efforts
● Donor communication campaigns
● Donor relationship portfolio
● Manage gift processing and acknowledgment
● Database administration
● Manage reporting
● Collaboration with Marketing for development of all collateral materials
● Supporting Board of Directors in their meetings and their communications
Qualifications:
● At least 3 years of individual giving and event fundraising experience
● Ability and willingness to work extended hours and varying work schedules as needed
● Proficiency with computer operations and programs, specifically:
○ MS office suite
○ Salesforce
○ Non-profit database management like Virtuous
● Excellent communication and organizational skills
● Detail-oriented
● Ability to work with minimal supervision
● Ability to work well with diverse groups and populations
● Ability to work independently, and in partnership with a highly motivated Leadership Team in a rapidly growing organization
Fulltime position in Metro- Atlanta, GA, with the flexibility to work remotely based upon the needs of the business.
