Summary:

The Hispanic Engagement & Support Manager will oversee Mission and Mobilization’s (M2) scalable system to onboard, support, inspire, grow, encourage, and retain CRS Hispanic partners and volunteer campaigners, including those partners and supporters who are new to CRS campaigns, those who are established partners and supporters, our network of Spanish-preferred CRS chapters as well as those who are most highly engaged in our campaign and movement-building efforts. The Manager will focus on strategic efforts to increase advocacy and fundraising outcomes from our Hispanic partners and supporters and scale the recruitment of new Spanish-preferred chapter hosts and our most highly engaged supporter pipeline. The Manager will also develop the goals and strategic objectives of the Diversity Cross-Divisional Team (DCDT) in alignment with agency strategy. The Manager also contributes to strategic budget planning and resource management based on operational goals and objectives.

Roles and Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of, and as necessary support, while ensuring team adherence to, the implementation and refinement based on learning of the movement building, campaign and chapter engagement for Hispanic constituencies utilizing Gateway (Salesforce) data systems
  • Lead the development of, and as necessary support, while ensuring team adherence to, the implementation of the system by which the team prospects and acquires new Hispanic CRS campaign supporters, prospective chapter hosts, leaders and members as well as potential highly engaged supporters utilizing Gateway (Salesforce) data systems
  • Establish and oversee, and as necessary support, process optimization by which newly identified Hispanic chapter and club hosts are received into the guidance and care of the Chapter Development team.
  • Champion the adoption and use of the Gateway Communities as the platform for chapter leaders, members, and other users to access and share information, network with each other, and build a sense of community
  • Oversee, and as necessary support, the process by which Hispanic partners and campaigners as well as Spanish-preferred chapter leaders and members and the most highly engaged supporters are coached. supported, encouraged, and motivated
  • Establish the processes by which the team will support peer-to-peer mentorship and role modeling among and between Hispanic leaders, partners and campaigners
  • Manage the design of medium and long-term goals for the team. Ensure the team coordinates well across the Constituent & Chapter Engagement Unit. Ensure the team’s objectives are in alignment with unit plans and divisional strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with team managers to ensure alignment. Ensure openness and readiness to work in collaboration between teams in close consultation and agreement with the Team Director to effectively reach teams and divisional goals.
  • Consults closely with the Team Director and implements plans and activities as approved by the Director.
  • Ensure regular objective assessments of data and related reporting utilizing primarily Gateway/Salesforce, are conducted with the staff/team to understand the efficacy of the staff/team’s outputs and that key learnings are applied to the team’s activities and incorporated into annual strategic planning processes.
  • Promote, uphold and model a commitment to the efficient use of agency and donor resources.
  • Create and maintain proper conditions for learning. Establish a safe environment for sharing of ideas, solutions, and difficulties and the capacity to detect, analyze and respond quickly to deficiencies. Promote accountability, learning and knowledge management overseeing application of the M2 MEAL standards, as well as support of cross-department learning, particularly through Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs).

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Non-Profit Management or related field required.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years’ experience managing high impact advocacy, fundraising or related initiatives. Experience in complex relationship management, volunteer recruitment and development, or leadership training.
  • Minimum of three years management experience

Required Languages – Bilingual Near native Spanish fluency required.

Travel-up to 10% within the U.S. On occasion internationally.

  • Strong strategic, analytical, systems thinking, and problem-solving skills, with capacity to see the big picture and ability to make sound judgment and decisions.
  • Excellent relationship management skills. Ability to relate to people at all levels internally and externally.
  • Team leadership abilities.
  • Strong communications and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience successfully activating people to join and take action in issue-based campaigns through advocacy and fundraising, and to provide their time, talent and treasure in increasing their actions in more complex, and more impactful ways.
  • Experience engaging partners and strengthening partnerships. Experience working with Church partners.
  • Staff management experience and abilities that are conducive to a learning environment.
  • Ability to represent the agency at high levels.
  • Experience in MS Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio), Web Conferencing Applications, Salesforce, and other relevant information and budget management systems.
