Aspire Software, a Valsoft Company is seeking an exceptional business transformation leader to join a growing portfolio of software businesses as an M&A Integration Manager.

We are on a mission to hire talented entrepreneurial spirit-driven people ready to take on the challenges of rapid organic growth. The M&A Integration Manager will work closely with the executive team as an effective project manager to drive collaboration across cross-functional stakeholders to quickly deliver on shareholder value. Participating in the due diligence process to help formulate an integration plan tailored to the specific goals of each acquisition.

By implementing industry best practices, Aspire delivers a time sensitive integration process, and the operation of a decentralized model has allowed it to become a hub for creating rapid growth by reinvesting in its portfolio.

Ultimately, the M&A Integration Manager is responsible for the successful execution of the Post Acquisition Integration Plan.

The candidate can be based anywhere in Europe or the UK. This position can be remote or work from any of our offices.

What your day will look like:

  • Involvement across the M&A Transaction, including due diligence, integration planning, and executing against post-transaction integration activities
  • Establish a scalable integration playbook that allows for repeatable processes, budget, and integration activities regardless of vertical and is updated based on lessons learned
  • Collaborate with functional stakeholders to create and maintain integration checklists and activities
  • Develop, track and report on acquisition KPIs and metrics to key stakeholders
  • Identify risks associated with integration activities and create/execute actions to reduce or eliminate these risks
  • Drive rapid executive decision making
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement activities post-integration by collaborating with stakeholders and driving execution
  • Translate company vision and mission into specific goals, priorities, and responsibilities for departments, individual teams, and team members of the acquired business
  • Act as central point of contact and source of truth for internal and acquired company stakeholders related to integration communications and questions
  • Financial analysis of the business (P&L/revenue/OPEX/etc…)
  • Building a forecast model post-integration based on DD findings

About you:

  • At least a BA/BS or above is essential
  • MBA qualified preferred
  • Experience and prior ownership in leading the successful execution of Post-Acquisition Integration Plans, essential
  • Post-transactional integration experience of SME businesses essential
  • Post-transactional integration experience of Software businesses is highly desirable
  • Experience in the due diligence process to help formulate an integration plan tailored to the specific goals of each acquisition
  • Advanced Excel skillset is essential
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Confident in leading meetings and skilled presenter
  • Experience working with global virtual teams
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams across multiple projects
  • “Hands-on” attitude with a proven entrepreneurial spirit and pace-setter traits
  • 0365 suite and strong Excel skills
  • Language: English (fluent) and another language would be an asset (German/Spanish/French)
  • 3-5 years of cross-functional project management experience in the software industry
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time across Europe and further afield
  • Legally authorized to work in Europe or the UK
