Job Summary:

Works with the Program Manager, the LBX Program Lead will help ensure the success of all LBX operations. Primary responsibilities involve operations planning and implementation, volunteer coordination, marketing planning and implementation, and overseeing LBX drivers.  

 

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or closely related human services degree, preferred.  

 

Experience:

  • Requires 2-4 years’ experience in the social work or human services field.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.

 

Other:

  • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates skills in preparing professional reports, documents.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, volunteers, governmental oversight agencies, organizations, and the public.
  • Knowledge of the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and appropriate techniques and practices for the client population.
  • Ability to interact effectively as a team member with Agency staff, volunteers, and a diverse client base.
  • Ability to work independently is essential.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and be willing to step in to assist in the field, if necessary.
  • Must have excellent computer skills.
  • Lift up to 40 pounds in order to perform tasks such as transferring items (e.g., food and coolers), moving light equipment, etc. Bend, kneel, stoop, reach, crouch, perform push/pull motions in order to accomplish tasks such as lifting, carrying and placement of food containers, loading and unloading vehicles, inspection of vehicles, etc.
  • Must pass physical and agility test.
  • Ability to grasp or hold items in order to perform tasks such as handling food, containers, boxes, tools, etc.
  • Must be able and comfortable driving a small bus and shuttle bus.
  • Must have a good driving record and be 25 years of age.

 

Responsibilities:

Operations:

  • Supervise and monitor daily operations including vehicles, volunteers, food inventory, warehouse, food delivery, scheduling, and staffing to ensure processes run smoothly during the summer.
  • Be willing to step in and help in the field.
  • Work with Agency staff and volunteers on planning for operations.
  • Work with various State and non-profit organizations to identify service sites and develop distribution routes.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory.
  • Collect and report meal service.
  • Develop, maintain, and disseminate the schedule of volunteers for all operational needs. Manage schedule changes.
  • Ensure compliance with State requirements, including daily, weekly and summary paperwork. Provide support for audits/reviews, as needed. Provide other reports as required.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

Community Engagement:

  • Assist with developing programs to fill gaps and serve clients more effectively.
  • Develop community food resources through networking and partnerships.
  • Respond to community requests.
  • Identify new partners to deepen the impact of LBX.
  • Assist with other food security programs, specifically the mobile food pantry, as time permits.

 

Compensation: $16.25 | $20.00| $24.00 per hour

FSA Status: Non-Exempt (Temp March-Aug)
